The main objective of the project is to strengthen community education on disaster preparedness, promote green skills, anddevelop innovative learning spaces for both educators and community members. the project will equip local communities, especially in disaster-prone areas, with essential skills to reduce vulnerability to natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods, and wildfires. The one-month workshops will be at the core of this initiative, taking place across the partner countries. These workshopswill be facilitated by educators who will deliver 120 hours of practical and theoretical training in each country. They will teachyoungsters and the local community how to act before, during, and after disasters, ensuring that community members gainessential skills in disaster prevention, preparedness, and response. The workshops will also focus on sustainabledevelopment and green skills, teaching participants about climate resilience, reforestation techniques, and reducing carbonfootprints.Community Education Guide will include disaster preparedness guidelines for earthquakes, floods, and wildfires, anddisaster management strategies specific to each country.Online Training Modules will be developed as part of the one-month workshops to support continuous learning and will beaccessible to a broad audience via digital platforms. The modules will cover disaster preparedness, leadership, andsustainable practices. Each country will organize simulation exercises tailored to local hazards. earthquake drills will be conducted in Turkey, flooddrills in Portugal, and wildfire drills in Italy. These drills will ensure that communities are practically prepared for real-lifescenarios.
